BETH'S TRAINING
Beth began studying Pilates in 1998 in Atlanta, GA when she was a corporate Auditor for Mirant Corp, a fortune 500 energy marketing company.
In the wake of the collapse of Enron, which began the reshaping of energy marketing, and then followed by the 911 attacks, Beth decided to take a leap. She left her accounting career to study Pilates full time in New York City with Bob Liekens. She was first certified by Power Pilates in 2002.
Out of great respect for the teaching of Romana Kryzanowska and her proteges, Beth added a Romana's Pilates Certification to her resume. Beth is a Level V Romana's Pilates instructor under Juanita Lopez.
Beth believes in constant learning and continues to study the method through Classical Pilates Syllabus with Mejo Wiggin.
THE HISTORY OF CLASSICAL PILATES STUDIO
In 2004, Beth moved to Charleston to open Classical Pilates studio to bring the exciting benefits of Pilates to a market that had very limited exposure to Pilates, especially Pilates taught in the traditional method.
After 9 great years of business in Charleston, Beth opened Classical Pilates Studio of Atlanta in 2014 to bring her experience full circle back home.
Beth has seen the miraculous benefits of Pilates in her healthy clients as well as clients with back and neck pain, scoliosis, fibromyalgia, rheumatoid arthritis and various chronic joint and neuromuscular injuries.
